In our journey toward optimal health, understanding the principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics is like finding the map to treasure.
These complex-sounding terms simply refer to how a substance enters, moves through, and exits the body (pharmacokinetics), and the effects the substance has on the body (pharmacodynamics).

Reaching the Steady State: Harmony Between You and Your Supplements
The steady state is achieved when the amount of a substance being absorbed by your body is equal to the amount being cleared.
This equilibrium ensures that the active ingredients maintain a constant effective level in your system, optimizing benefits and reducing the likelihood of adverse effects.

Looking at our figure as an example: Why do we "crash" after drinking coffee? Assuming tolerance isn't an issue, we can see the graph to figure this out. As we intake our coffee, there is a SPIKE of absorption of the caffeine molecules, then a sharp excretion of these molecules (hence the crash).
Now, looking at the daily use of NESIS INCEPTION, we can see a different pattern. We see a growth period of accumulation until there is a leveling out. This "leveling out" and "new baseline" is called the steady state. Since we use such high doses, it allows the body to maintain some "leftovers" which will accumulate until absorption is equal to excretion - which means no more crashing.
